My Personality Type

ISTJ

My personality type is ISTJ. This means I am introverted, sensing, thinking, and judging. People who are classified as an ISTJ are typically very analytical, reliable, and detail-oriented. They tend to value logical reasoning rather than emotional. They tend to prefer to be alone at times, and keep their thoughts to themselves. These people like to use processes that are proven to work, and also like to rely on their past experiences. Some famous people who share this personality type are George Washington, Queen Elizabeth II, and George H.W. Bush.

As a whole, I believe this description of me is almost spot on. I think the quiz is definitely correct when it says I am introverted, and prefer to look at logic when reasoning. I believe I am definitely dependable and detail-oriented, but I think I also have some qualities of perceiving, to go along with judging. For example, I always try to not over schedule things, and I work pretty well under pressure. As a whole, I though this test was pretty accurate.
This test did help me learn a little bit about myself. It helped me understand why I am the way I am. For example, this helped me to understand why I am very analytical, and why I like to do things by the book, with specific rules. This also explains why I prefer some school subjects like math and science over things like language arts.
In a group project, I am typically someone who does a lot of the busy work, and helps to keep the group on track. I prefer other people to take part in the social, and creative parts. When I am put into roles that match my abilities, I am usually much more successful. Whereas when I have different role, it may be much more difficult for me.

I think some people definitely don’t understand when I first meet them why I am so quiet. Some people may take my shyness as rudeness, and can sometimes lead to minor conflicts. When in reality, I am just generally introverted, and prefer to keep to myself at first. I think there are definitely people in my life who may have gotten upset over my personality, and it caused some minor conflicts between us.

Overall, I think this quiz has helped me learn quite a bit about myself. It helped me understand why I operate in this way, and I think will help me be myself. As a whole, I think this quiz will help me be my best self in the future.

Lion, Otter, Golden Retriever, Beaver Quiz

In the second quiz we did, we looked to see if we were a lion, otter, golden retriever, or beaver. I got beaver as my highest category, with lion second, golden retriever a close third, and otter last. Overall, I think this is pretty accurate, and I definitely agree with beaver being my first option, because I am definitely very analytical and somewhat of a perfectionist. I also agree with otter being last, because I am not the most social person. However, I think I am more like a golden retriever than a lion because I am very loyal, and don't want a lot of conflict between people, although I am very competitive. I thought this quiz was definitely similar to the Meyers-Briggs test, but I would say that one was more accurate, because you could kind of tell which animal was which when you were taking this quiz. Overall, I still thought it was a pretty good quiz and it taught me a little bit about myself.

Semester 2 Video Production Review

Projects Movie Trailer Recreation For this project, we were put into groups and told to recreate a high school movie trailer. Our group ended up recreating the trailer for "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". This entire process took about a month to complete, and had many challenges built in to it. The main challenge we came upon was scheduling with our actors. We found it was extremely difficult to find a time that all of our actors and team members could be in the same place at the same time. Throughout the making of this video, I learned a lot about the use of microphones and sound. I learned how to operate a boom mic and also learned more about how to use your music and audio effectively. At the end of this project, we mostly received positive feedback. The main negative on our piece was that some of the music did not stay true to the actual video. So, for our re-edits, we imported some of the actual music from the video to make it more accurate. Overall, I think our gro...

Movie Trailer Remake

Pre-Production For this project, we were assigned a specific movie about high school, and were told to remake the trailer. My group was assigned "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" for our movie. I was pretty excited about this project to start with because I really like the movie I got, and I thought I got a good group. However, this project was certainly not an easy task, so we had a lot of work to do. We started off with all of our pre-production activities. This included story boarding, completing a beat sheet, and figuring out who to cast for each role. Our group decided to mainly cast from our own group to make scheduling a little easier. However, we still casted all of our adults, plus two of our main characters from outside our group. Before we started filming, we also figured out what we were going to do for locations, props, and costumes. Most of our group chipped in for some props or costumes, and we mainly decided the locations as a group. Once we had all of that...

Typography Project

Typography Overview In this project, we were approached with the task of creating a project to show different terms of typography by using Adobe Illustrator. Before we started, we were given some basic knowledge about typography. This included different fonts, and parts of letters. We were then able to use some of our prior knowledge about Adobe Illustrator to create a name line to show our newfound knowledge. This project once again I believe was a very good stepping stone in my knowledge and I think it will be very useful in the future. What I learned For this project, we started off by writing our names and sizing it appropriately, and then making three lines to represent the general height of different parts of the letters. We then labeled different parts of our name with words and arrows. Once again, the command "Option-Drag" was very useful, as it helped us copy and paste our labels easily. After we had labeled at least ten parts of our name, we tweaked the l...
