How to Print Video

Pre-Production Before the making of this video, we worked together with our partner to brainstorm the different shots and camera angles we wanted for our video. This lead us to making a story board, which pretty much summarized what we would be trying to do with our video. After we had done this, we got our iPads so we could put our idea into actual photographs. These allowed us to better envision what our video would be like when we actually started putting it together. This also helped us receive small critiques on how to frame our videos. After we had prepared all of this, my partner and I decided what we wanted to do individually for the video. We decided that he would film, and I would act, but we would both help frame the shots, as well as editing the video by ourselves. Now we were ready to start the production of the video. Production of the Video Now we had started the video itself, and with it we had to make many decisions and changes as a group. In this way I tho...

Website Portfolio Project

Website Portfolio Project Overview After all we have done this year in e9, we were assigned with creating a website on Adobe Dreamweaver to showcase all of our work for the semester. This website we would be creating would have two pages; one that was a main page, and talked about us, and then another page that was completely dedicated to our projects in e-Comm. Both of these pages were also accompanied by a sidebar, footer, links, and headers that we had to edit and change ourself. How We Did It This project on Dreamweaver was able to teach me a lot about the program, along with how to make a layout look pleasing to the eye. We started the project by changing the necessities of a web page, which are headers, a sidebar, and a footer. All of these aspects helped to make the page look much more presentable and professional. After this, we imported a picture of us, and our "Elevator Pitch" into the main page. These would help to serve as an introduction for the people...

House

House Overview During this project, we were given the task of recreating a real house by using Sketchup. We had done a few minor projects already using this software, so we knew the basics, but we still had to figure out how to do a lot of new techniques. Once we had picked out our house, we began our project. How We Did It Once we had chosen our house that we were going to recreate, we started by making a box with the specific dimensions of our house. We then created our roof, and added other aspects to our houses, such as windows, doors, and porches. Once we had the basic shape of our house done, we began to add textures and colors to our house to make it look how it would in real life. We were also required to find two of our own textures online that we would include in our house. After we had done all of this, we added some finishing touches, and then created the animation for our house. This was basically a visual tour, and showed the different viewpoints of ou...

Ball Bounces

Ball Bounces Overview For this project, we had to make three different animations which all included a ball bouncing. One had to bounce up and down, one came from the side, and the third one had to have a surprise ending. Beforehand, we were taught how to make a frame animation on Photoshop, and then we were released to make these three animations. How We Did It For this project, we started off by making our background, and our ball. After we had done this, we used the command, option-drag to create multiple copies of our ball. Once we had done this, we moved all of the different balls to a specific area that would make it look like an animation in it's final form. We then started the actual animation, where we started off with our original ball, with all of the others hidden. Then we created a new frame, and hid our original ball, and showed the next copy. We repeated this process until we had gone through all of our frames. There were different things we had ...

Ten Words Animation

Ten Words Animation Overview In this project, we were tasked with creating a video animation on Photoshop that included our first and last name, along with ten words we came up with that describe ourselves. We were taught a few things on how to use Photoshop, and were also able to use some of our prior knowledge from Illustrator to help us come up with a good layout, and then we created the actual animation. How We Did It For this project, we started off by typing in our ten words, along with our name. Once we had these in, we could choose individual colors and fonts for each word. After this, we had to put them into an arrangement on the page that was pleasing to the eye, and had an equal amount of white space between each word. Once we had done this, we created the animation itself, which included us making the letters move from one point to another, fade, and flip around. After we had done this, we were left with our final animation. Conclusion Overall, I believe thi...

Logo Project

The Process During this project, we were tasked with making our own logo on Adobe Illustrator. However, there was a long process we had to undergo before we even got on Adobe Illustrator. We started off by creating a few rough sketches in our sketchbooks. We came up with a few ideas for shapes, colors, and fonts we might want to use in our logo, but for the most part we were just focused on getting some ideas down on paper. After that, we gathered a few of our best designs, and decided which one we wanted to work with on the computer. After we did this, we started experimenting with our idea in black and white. Once we had come up with a few variations of our design, we started to try out different colors for our logos. Lastly, we chose one of the designs we had made with color, and tweaked it a little bit until we were satisfied. After this was done, we had finally come up with our own logo! My Final Design For our logos, we had to take in account what different colors, f...

Typography Project

Typography Overview In this project, we were approached with the task of creating a project to show different terms of typography by using Adobe Illustrator. Before we started, we were given some basic knowledge about typography. This included different fonts, and parts of letters. We were then able to use some of our prior knowledge about Adobe Illustrator to create a name line to show our newfound knowledge. This project once again I believe was a very good stepping stone in my knowledge and I think it will be very useful in the future. What I learned For this project, we started off by writing our names and sizing it appropriately, and then making three lines to represent the general height of different parts of the letters. We then labeled different parts of our name with words and arrows. Once again, the command "Option-Drag" was very useful, as it helped us copy and paste our labels easily. After we had labeled at least ten parts of our name, we tweaked the l...
