For this project, we started off by taking our previous projects and sizing them appropriately. We then printed these photos. After that, we used water colors to paint a blank sheet of paper however we wanted. Once our paint had dried, we started the actual printing process. We cut our picture with a small border (1/2 to 1 inch) of white paper around it. Then, we applied mod podge to the areas with ink on it. Then we placed our photo face down onto our water colors (side with ink facing down). After that, we used a squeegee. With the squeegee, we applied light pressure to the entire image and tried to squeeze our all of the bubbles and places with too much mod podge. We had to be very careful to not get the excess mod podge on the back of our image, or else it would make later steps much much difficult. For this project, we started by choosing our subject and story. We decided to make our story about Maleah Boyd and Raven Dance Team. After we chose this, we started to set up interviews with the people we needed for our video. For pre-production, we also planned out what else we would need to film or receive for b-roll. Once we had a solid plan for what we needed to get, we filmed our actual interview with Maleah. We also got some additional b-roll from various parts of the school and got some clips from Maleah of her and the dance team. This lead us in to the editing process where we started by sequencing our shots. Once we had our shots sequenced and edited accordingly, we recorded a voiceover to help bring our information together in the video. We then presented our videos and got some positive and negative feedback. Next, we reedited our video based on the feedback we received. We watched multiple videos about different types of printing processes. We learned about the relief process, the intaglio process, and the lithography process. Each process uses different materials and tools that help to make their designs unique. Here is a more in-depth view of each individual process: Relief Process:  Relief printing is the process of cutting away at a surface in order to create an image from the raised area. In a step by step process of this, first you can draw directly onto a linoleum block with a marker. Then, a linoleum cutter is used to cut away what you have drawn on the block. This means that whatever you have drawn will eventually be in white, while the blank space will be black. Then, ink will be applied to your linoleum block with a roller. Lastly, you can place a piece of paper on the linoleum block and apply light pressure in order to reveal your image. After letting the ink dry, this process is finished. Example of relief process . It's game time. The last month of practice all built up to this game, the tournament final. When I start getting ready, the first thing I think about is how hot it is! It's midday and the astroturf we are playing on seems to escalate the heat up to 100 degrees. Gosh, this game was gonna be rough. We are playing our biggest rivals, Olathe West, for all the marbles. I'm excited, but also nervous because I want to win the game so badly. I try to get the rest of my nerves out before the game and eventually our team finishes our warm up, so we line up for the start of the game.  The referee blows their whistle and we kick off. I start playing, already starting to become exhausted by the blazing sun. Early in the game, my teammates link up and then take a shot and... GOAL!!!!! We take the lead at 1-0! The game wasn't over, though. We still had a lot of time to defend our lead. We were doing well until we got beat on the wing and they finished their opportunity. 1-1. We w...

For this project, our group decided to make our video over the process of getting an elevator key at ONW when you are injured. Before we started filming our video, we had to complete multiple different tasks during Pre-Production. One of these processes was storyboarding. During storyboarding, we sketched out what we wanted to show during each shot as well as the camera angles. We also wrote out a script for what we would be showing and then we assigned different roles for the video itself. We also went through a few more planning processes before we started the filming process. Our group decided to film multiple close ups of different actions first. We then moved in to our other shots, where we showed where and how to get an elevator key as well as how to use it. When we combined our close ups with our more wide shots, it created a good variety of shots that complimented each other well. For this project, we started out by photographing our partner. We chose a specific location in our courtyard so there would be an interesting background and our subject would still look good. Once we had our photo, we took it into photoshop and started editing it. I started the editing process by copying the picture and then making then picture black and white. Then I cut out my subject and made him his own layer. I then applied a filter to the background, and separated it into two different parts-the tree and everything else. I then used the paint splatter brush to add a little bit of color back into the background, while also keeping the features from the original filter. I then moved to editing my subject. I started by separating him into three groups (hair, skin/head, and shirt). First, I edited the hair. For this Photoshop challenge, we were asked to incorporate different elements of nature in to a photo of a man. The first thing we had to choose was the photos we wanted to photoshop into different parts of the original picture. One of the first photographs I saw was an interesting rock wall. I really liked the unique colors it had, so I started by putting that photo into the man's jacket. I did this by creating a layer mask that worked alongside the picture of the rock wall, along with the original photo and I made it so the photo only would show through the area I wanted. After this, I also added a curve adjustment layer to make the rocks appear a little darker than before. Lastly, I changed the blending mode to "pass through" to make the colors pop even more.
